Agalloch is an American extreme metal band from Portland, Oregon. It was formed in 1995 by frontman John Haughm, with longterm members Don Anderson (guitar) and Jason William Walton (bass) joining soon after. The band's sound, while rooted in atmospheric black metal, also features characteristics of post-metal, folk metal and doom metal.
