Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known as Eminem, is an American rapper and producer born in St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1972. He is the best-selling hip hop artist in history with over 220M records. 'The Slim Shady LP' (1999), 'The Marshall Mathers LP' (2000) and 'The Eminem Show' (2002) are foundational hip hop albums. He won 15 Grammys and an Oscar for 'Lose Yourself' (8 Mile). With his Slim Shady alter ego, he revolutionized rap with technical lyricism, dark humor and autobiographical narrative. Member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 2022.
