Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1983 by Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons. They are pioneers in fusing funk, punk and alternative rock, with landmark albums like 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' (1991), 'Californication' (1999) and 'By the Way' (2002). They've sold over 100 million records and won six Grammys throughout their career. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and continue performing world tours.
