Paul Van Haver, known as Stromae, is a Belgian singer, songwriter and producer born in Brussels in 1985. He fuses European hip hop, electronic music and French chanson with African influences (his father was Rwandan). 'Alors on danse' (2009) was a worldwide hit, and his album 'Racine Carree' (2013) sold millions with classics like 'Papaoutai' and 'Formidable'. After a 9-year hiatus, he returned with 'Multitude' (2022). He is the most influential Francophone artist of his generation and a visual innovator recognized for his cinematic music videos.
