Belle and Sebastian es un grupo de indie pop escocés formado en Glasgow en 1996. Está integrado por Stuart Murdoch, Stevie Jackson, Chris Geddes (teclados), Sarah Martin, Mick Cooke, Bobby Kildea y Richard Colburn (batería). Entre sus antiguos miembros se encuentran Isobel Campbell y Stuart David (bajo). El nombre del grupo proviene de Belle et Sébastien, libro para niños de Cécile Aubry en el que se relatan las aventuras de un chico (Sébastien) y su perro (Belle).
