Eärendil es un personaje ficticio que forma parte del legendarium creado por el escritor británico J. R. R. Tolkien y que aparece en su novela póstuma El Silmarillion. Es un peredhil o medio elfo, hijo único de Tuor, un hombre de la Tercera Casa de la raza Edain, e Idril Celebrindal, una elfa perteneciente al linaje de los Noldor y princesa del reino y ciudad de Gondolin.
