Helloween es una banda alemana de power metal y speed metal fundada en Hamburgo en 1978. Comúnmente se les considera “los padres del power metal", siendo la banda más influyente para el desarrollo de dicho subgénero, especialmente por sus álbumes Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part 1 (1987) y Part 2 (1988). Su debut discográfico incluye su primera formación clásica: Kai Hansen, Michael Weikath, Markus Grosskopf e Ingo Schwichtenberg. Tras el fallecimiento de Schwichtenberg y la salida de su fundador Kai Hansen y de su segundo cantante Michael Kiske, Helloween contribuyó notoriamente a la "edad dorada del power metal" entre finales de los años 1990 y principios de los 2000. La banda ha continuado ininterrumpidamente su actividad musical y producción discográfica desde su fundación.
