Judy Garland fue una actriz y cantante estadounidense. Si bien fue aclamada por la crítica por muchos papeles diferentes a lo largo de su carrera, es ampliamente conocida por interpretar el papel de Dorothy Gale en El mago de Oz (1939). Alcanzó el estrellato internacional como actriz en papeles musicales y dramáticos, como artista de grabación y en el escenario. Reconocida por su versatilidad, recibió un Premio Óscar Juvenil, un Globo de Oro y un Premio Tony Especial. Garland fue la primera mujer en ganar el Premio Grammy al álbum del año, que ganó por su grabación en vivo de 1961 titulada Judy at Carnegie Hall.
