Powerwolf es una banda alemana de power metal fundada en 2004 en Saarbrücken por miembros de Red Aim. La banda está compuesta por el vocalista Karsten Brill como "Attila Dorn", el guitarrista principal Benjamin Buss como "Matthew Greywolf", el bajista/guitarrista rítmico David Vogt como "Charles Greywolf", el teclista Christian Jost como "Falk Maria Schlegel" y el baterista Roel van Helden. El grupo utiliza temas e imágenes religiosas, a diferencia de la música power metal tradicional, así como pintura de cadáveres, composiciones con tintes góticos y canciones sobre leyendas de hombres lobo y vampiros.
