Richard Steven Valenzuela Reyes, conocido como Ritchie Valens, fue un músico, compositor, cantante y guitarrista estadounidense. Es considerado uno de los pioneros del rock and roll, y el primero en cantar ese género en español. Forma parte del Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll, y fueron sus mayores éxitos We Belong Together, Come On, Let's Go, Donna y La Bamba.
