Los alfabetos rúnicos son un grupo de alfabetos cuyas letras, llamadas runas, se emplearon para escribir las lenguas germánicas principalmente en Escandinavia y las islas británicas, aunque también se usaron en la Europa central y oriental, durante la Antigüedad tardía y la Edad Media, antes y durante la cristianización de la región. Existen otros tipos de alfabetos muy similares al rúnico, como el antiguo alfabeto turco, el alfabeto húngaro antiguo o las escrituras paleohispánicas.
