The Cinematics fue una banda de rock alternativo escocesa fundada en 2003 en Glasgow, Escocia. La banda se mantuvo activa desde 2003 hasta el 2011, donde se disolvió. La banda lanzó dos álbumes, A Strange Education (2007) y Love and Terror (2009), así como un EP de cinco pistas, "Silent Scream EP" (2010), pero se disolvió en medio de la grabación de su tercer álbum.
