Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter born in Port Harcourt in 1991. He is 'The African Giant' and the artist who has done the most to globalize Afrobeats. 'African Giant' (2019) was Grammy-nominated, and 'Twice as Tall' (2020) won the Grammy for Best Global Music Album. 'Love, Damini' (2022) cemented him in the American mainstream. Hits like 'Last Last', 'Ye' and 'City Boys' are global anthems. First African artist to fill a US stadium (Citi Field, 2023).
