Soda Stereo was an Argentinian rock band formed in Buenos Aires in 1982 by Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti. They are considered the most important and influential Spanish-language rock band of all time. Albums like 'Nada Personal' (1985), 'Signos' (1986), 'Doble Vida' (1988) and 'Cancion Animal' (1990) defined the sound of Latin American rock. They were the first Argentinian band to conquer all of Latin America, filling stadiums from Mexico to Chile. They split in 1997 with the historic line 'Gracias totales'. Their 2007 reunion ('Me Veras Volver') was the largest musical event in Latin American history. Their legacy is comparable to bands like U2 or Depeche Mode.
