Gustavo Adrian Cerati was an Argentinian musician, singer-songwriter and producer born in Buenos Aires in 1959. As frontman of Soda Stereo, the most influential rock band in Latin America, he transformed Spanish-language rock with albums like 'Nada Personal' (1985), 'Signos' (1986) and 'Cancion Animal' (1990). The farewell tour 'Me Veras Volver' (2007) was one of the largest musical events in Latin American history. In his solo career, 'Bocanada' (1999) and 'Ahi Vamos' (2006) are considered masterpieces of Spanish-language rock. He suffered a stroke in 2010 and passed away in 2014, leaving a legacy that continues to influence generations of musicians. He is considered the most important guitarist and composer in Latin American rock.
