Therion es una agrupación sueca de metal sinfónico, creada por su principal compositor Christofer Johnsson en 1987. La palabra theríon (θηρίον), extraída del Libro de la Revelación, significa «bestia» en griego. Sin embargo, los miembros de la banda han declarado que el nombre es un tributo al álbum To Mega Therion, de Celtic Frost.
